LOVE IN THE TIME OF KASADYA

If you're the type who thinks flowers, balloons and candlelight dinners are cheesier than a Four Cheese Whopper (that's talking a LOT of cheese) last Valentine's Day, my best guess is you would have headed out for something fun and exciting instead. Something like Kasadya sa SRP.

Located at the heart of the South Road Properties, Kasadya is an annual "perya" and is the closest thing Cebu can get to a legit amusement park. This year they added more rides (some of them used to belong to a smaller park at the North Reclamation Area) and attractions everyone can enjoy.

I don't know about you but this ride looks suspiciously like a fast food logo.
You can take a cab from the city to get to Kasadya. That's about the priciest thing about the whole thing since the entrance is free and each ride just costs around Php20-Php70. If you have a car, there's a lot of sweet space for parking. Last year they had buses to take people in, but I don't know if they still have it this year.
Think you can knock them all out?
Kasadya  has classic carnival games that you can try out. Win your date's heart with your awesome hand-eye coordination skillz. If you're one for thrill and adventure, choose a ride you can scream your lungs out to. There's plenty to choose from!

This bump car-pump boat mashup is the coolest thing I've seen so far.
Kids get ready to take off.
Sights and sounds fill the place.
Spinning like a ballerina. Too bad boyfriend had some Anchors Away trauma from his last trip to Enchanted Kingdom and wanted to avoid all things that spin. LOL. Sorry.

After you've maxed yourself out, have some barbecue just outside the park. Like the rides, there's lots of stalls to choose from!

Can't go wrong with barbecue! It's a perfect way to top the night off. Cheers!

You gotta hurry though, I heard Kasadya just lasts til the end of February! I wonder when we'll have a year round amusement park. I guess we'll have to wait for that one. For now, head on out to the Kasadya sa SRP with your date or with the rest of the family (if you haven't been there already) and have a blast!
