My favorite part of the blog is, obviously, Fiction in the Island. What can I say, I love writing!
Last week I gave a copy of 14D to Cebuano writer DA Chan for him to beta-read and critique. Daunting, I know! If you don't know him, he's the author of the Kindred Chronicles, this awesome urban fantasy novel. He's also a member of our little band of writers in The Write Club Cebu. And he likes Masterchef knives, apparently.

Intense, isn't it! When David said he's gonna "tread lightly on my dreams" I didn't expect him to do this wonderful, brutal overhaul of my work. Where do you get a beta-reader like that? Where have you been all my life?
Since I really wanna grow and improve as a writer, this was completely what I didn't know I needed. Does that make sense? Either way, I feel beyond blessed!
Thank you sir David for your wonderful critique and kind words!
I hope this makes way for even more wonderful stories in the future.
Keep writing,
K x
